Happy Thanksgiving From Cambodia
Happy Thanksgiving to our church family, family, partners, friends and friends of friends. We can only dream of a turkey or ham dinner with the full trimmings as turkeys and true ham are no-where in sight. So think of us as you enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner.
It is hard for us to believe that we are into our 7th year as full-time missionaries in Cambodia. In 2006 we were blessed to have our daughter Alison and her husband Christian join with our ministry. They are doing an awesome work with the high school and college students. We were blessed with a little grandson and now there is another one on the way.
We have seen God move in a mighty way through this ministry to touch this amazing nation. Little did we know when we left Modesto, California in 2002 what was in store for us. If it had been told us we probably would not have believed it.
We want to take this moment and express our heartfelt thanks to all who have labored in prayers and partnered in financial giving to make this ministry possible.
Please take a moment and let us share with you what all God has been doing through this ministry in Cambodia. Read and rejoice at the goodness of God.

Our Cambodian Ministry Team
Ministering to 18,000 on a weekly basis
The reason we came to Cambodia was for Jerry to fulfill his calling to start a new work and raise up Cambodian National leaders. In 2003 he started a new project with one Cambodian helper/translator. Training began to raise up evangelists, pastors and leaders. Cambodian leaders in turn under careful supervision have raised up faithful men and women of God who now also are evangelists, leaders and pastors.
Pictured above is our paid full-time Cambodian Staff. Together these amazing men and women of God minister every week in 2,500 house churches in 12 districts (counties). They minister regularly to 10,000 adults and around 8,000 children on a weekly basis. Not pictured are the 30 interns who are being trained out in the field five days a week.
They live in the area where they minister. This way they are able to go where others will not.
Village Bible Clubs - 8,000 Children
In the remote villages of Cambodia our teams are ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ to nearly 8,000 children every week, 4 x a month, in our Village Bible Clubs. Most of these remote villages do not have a church. We are the only ones reaching them. Others will not go that far.
They touch the heart of God
Children love learning about Jesus, memorizing God's Word, singing praises, coloring Bible pictures and praying.
The Holy Spirit is touching these precious lives. God has laid it upon our hearts to expand the children's ministry from 8,000 to 10,000 children each week.
Together we can reach another 2,000 children per month. Children in other villages are waiting for us to come and tell them about Jesus.
If you could only see their eager little faces to learn about Jesus. They already are the future of Cambodia. Someday these little ones will become adults. What a privilege it is to see them start their walk with God at an early age and carry it through to their adulthood. You can take a part to help change the nation of Cambodia.
Sunbeam Kids Orphanage
In January, this year, I (Wilma) returned to the States to set up a new 501 (c) 3 tax exempt organization. The name Sunbeam Kids International was chosen. This new organization was established for the purpose of setting up an orphanage, helping families with children at risk, teaching children in remote villages who are not able to go to school to learn to read and write their own language.
On the Frontline Ministries, Inc., partners together with their designated funds for those programs. As you can imagine the needs are great, especially with the economic crisis and the sky-rocketing inflation that has hit Cambodia.
Our orphanage has grown since we opened up in May, 2007. Currently we rent this house for the orphanage in Batatmbang, Cambodia. We have four full-time staff members, taking care of 16 orphans and 3 staff children that all live at the orphanage. Our little sunbeams are just adorable. It has been so wonderful to see our children blossom as they are put in a loving environment.
We are so blessed to have Sothea and his wife Sophorn to be the house parents of the orphanage. They love the children as if they were there own. The home is filled with love. The children are learning what it means to be loved by God and how God loves them through their new parents.
The orphanage home is able to house up to 30 children and necessary staff. We have children waiting to accepted into the home, but currently we don't have the funding for any new children and are not fully funded for the children God has already blessed us with.
If you know of someone, or perhaps if you are interested in finding out more on how you can partner with this ministry, please email us at mishlerjerry@hotmail.com
God bless you,
Wilma
Literacy Program
The illiteracy problem is not getting better in Cambodia. In the remote villages because of economic conditions, many of the children are not able to go to school. We have noticed a big increase in the illiteracy rate amongst the children. Coupled with the fact that many of their parents are also illiterate their outlook to get a good paying job is bleak.
We have trained leaders who are going out into these areas with a fantastic program that is approved by the government. This program allows them to be able to read and write in their own language in just three months. It program requires them to meet one hour, five days a week. The results are tremendous. It is life-changing for the whole family when one family member can read.
The woman on the right got her certificate for completing the course and now she is able to read and write her own language. She also received a new pair of reading glasses so that she could see better. She became a believer and attends a house church. She is so happy that she can read her Bible.
The girl on the left is 18 years old. She only finished 3rd grade and never learned how to read and write. She was among those who passed her reading and writing test and graduated from the program. She is now a believer as well and loves to read her Bible to others.
Those who become literate through this program are no longer candidates to be victimized by schemes to take their land away, to be trafficked, traffic their children, and other devious plots. Now they can read and understand any document that they are able to sign.

PROJECTS
We thank all of you who and have partnered with us in our projects. For those of you who would like to be involved with the move of God we are experiencing in Cambodia the following projects are available for partnership. All gifts are tax-deductible.
Children's Village Bible Clubs
It costs us $1 per month for each child to be reached 4 times a month. That is only 25 cents per time. Would you be willing to cover the cost for 10, 30, 50 or 100 children per month and know that each dollar allows one child to continue learning about God?
Orphanage
Due to economic conditions we have had a substantial loss in monthly commitments to the orphans. Inflation is at an alltime high in Cambodia. We rent the facility. With gas, staff support, food, clothing, medical, schooling, etc. it cost us $85-90 per month to care for each child. Any amount a one-time gift or general monthly support would be much appreciated. A little goes a long ways.
Literacy Program
It costs us around $15 for one person to be enrolled in a three month program. They will enter illiterate and come out literate. Just think $15 will be life changing for them and their family. What a priveledge it is to be able to give the gift of reading and writing to someone. When a parent learns how to read, they can protect their family from unscrupulous people. Most become believers and now they are able to read their Bible to their family.
Adopt a church & village outreach
Currently we have nine church buildings that have church on Sunday. The pastors of these churches not only minister on Sunday, but also during the entire week having church meetings in seperate house churches that are not part of the main church but a seperate houe church. They are like the old-time circuit pastors reaching those in the community with the Gospel. By adopting a church you will help supplement the church and also be supporting village outreach. The weekly outreach in house churches averages 150 in attendance. If you are interested in adopting a church in full or whatever God lays on your heart, please contact us by email at mishlerjerry@hotmail.com.
Currently we do not have online giving available. We ask you to pray to see which area God would want you to partaicipate in. Please indicate on your check which area you are designated your gift for, or if you want it to go into the General Fund to be used where most needed. Our address is:
On the Frontline Ministries, Inc.
3201 Keller Street
Modesto, CA 95355
You will receive a tax-deductable receipt.
Thank you and God bless you. Jerry & Wilma
ABOUT US
On the Frontline Ministries, Inc. is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. Our main focus to to fulfill Christ's commandment to "Go and make disciples of the nations." Cambodia currently is the country where we are concentrating to train up national leadership to reach their country for Christ. To reach the lost and teach the found, so that they can be well and prosper in their spirit, soul and body. Touching their spirit so that they can know the living God and have a relationship with Him. Touching their soul comes through teaching them the Word of God so that they can live their lives in righteousness. Touching their body comes through teaching them simple ways of proper nutrition, hygiene, simple life skills, providing wells, and bringing in medical teams. We also help support Sunbeam Kids Orphanage.
Our personal and organizational support comes 100% mainly from people like you and also a few churches. We are so grateful for every gift received to be able to fulfill the Great Commission plus show Christ's love in a tangible way. And we always, of course, need prayer.
God bless you,
Jerrry and Wilma Mishler
